Notification on limit amount of cash withdrawal by legal entities from bank accounts

Dear Customers,

Please be informed that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 21, 2020 No. 308 “On some measures to stabilize the economy”, effective June 1, 2020, Resolution of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 21, 2020 No. 50 “On limit amounts for cash withdrawal from banks by legal entities accounts during the calendar month and categories of legal entities that are not subject to the requirement to withdraw cash from bank accounts”.

According to this Resolution, cash withdrawal by legal entities from bank accounts during a calendar month is carried out in the amount of not more than (in any currency equivalent in tenge):
•20,000,000 (twenty million) tenge for small businesses;
•120,000,000 (one hundred and twenty million) tenge for medium-sized businesses;
•150,000,000 (one hundred and fifty million) tenge for large businesses.

Withdrawal of cash in excess of these restrictions is allowed provided that the client submits an application for cash withdrawal, with the attachment of supporting documents and consent to transfer data to the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SRC), as well as obtaining permission from the SRC by the bank.

The above restriction does not apply to the following categories of legal entities:
•for legal entities that are subjects of microenterprises;
•for legal entities purchasing agricultural food products, aquaculture products (fisheries);
•for legal entities that are subjects of retail trade in food, beverages, as well as pharmaceutical, medical and orthopedic goods (with certain types of economic activity);
•to second-tier banks and the National Post Operator when they withdraw cash from correspondent accounts opened with the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and legal entities operating exclusively through exchange offices on the basis of a license of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan for exchange operations with foreign currency in cash.

In this regard, the Bank asks to take into account these requirements and to provide the necessary documents in a timely manner, including confirmation of the category of entrepreneurship, which can be obtained on the website www.elicense.kz

This Resolution is valid until December 31, 2020.
